COMBINATION BOILER BASIC & ADVANCED TRAINING

We at GASTEC can boast of over 30 different, manufacturers and models of combination boilers, all fully functional and maintained in top condition for your hands on experience, Unlike some centres who only have “dead” or dummy boilers on the wall we prefer you to interact with boilers that respond to your actions if it’s faulty fix it, and see your result to completion.

The course contains basic Essential Electrics which also covers the understanding of the Multi-meter which is fundamental for the combination boiler course, at the end of the session there is a small assessment and on your successful completion will result in a fully certified Achievement Certificate and card from the CITB proving your competence in this area, Unlike other centres whom issue a local certificate of attendance which is meaningless and not recognised anywhere.

This 2 day course is designed for Plumbing and Heating Engineers who install and service combination boilers.

All operatives will have an understanding of how combination boilers function and will be able to rectify and fault find generically.

Combi Course - Questions & Answers

Who is the course aimed at?  The GASTEC Combi course has been specifically designed for gas engineers of all backgrounds. These can range from fault finding engineers wishing to enhance their skills, to those operatives who install Combi’s and are wishing to gain fault finding skills in order to repair the boilers they have installed. All engineers  will have an understanding of how combination boilers function and will be able to rectify and fault find generically

Are there any restrictions on who can join the course?  No, the course is purely information based and is open to engineers of all backgrounds.

Will I receive a certificate upon completion of the course?  Yes,  there is a fully certified Achievement Certificate and card similar to the ACS card which is issued by the CITB the country’s  largest and most recognised certification Body.

What exactly does the course consist of?

º Understand the operation of Combination boilers.
º Understanding Functions of Controls & Interpreting manufacturer’s instructions.
º Understanding differences between various manufacturers boilers.
º Identify breakdown symptoms on individual boilers as appropriate.
º Fault finding and rectification skills.
º Exchanging parts according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Which Combi’s will I be working on?  Here at GASTEC  we are constantly updating our Combination boiler stock, but we currently have Baxi,  Worcester, Valliant, Glow Worm, Biasi, Vokera to name but a few.
